About Muriel Lights Candle Designs

Muriel Lights is a labor of love and dedicated to my mother who is battling lung and stomach cancer. I have been making candles for over five year for family and friends. I have been home taking care of my mother for the last year and a half who in her illness was sharing a feeling of emptiness of what she perceive was a lack of accomplishments in her life time. Muriel Lights is my gift to her to bring awareness to Cancer especially for people of color who usually find out their diagnosis at the end stage of their cancer. My mom wanted to know what did she have to leave us her children. I wanted her to know my journey with her cancer was a lesson to be shared. Her Education as a Medical Assistant has taught her to trust her body signs more than Doctors words. Cancer is a disease and a enemy we must learn to fight better, know your choices and plan you own course of treatment. Muriel Lights is for the warriors who battle Cancer everyday and the families who stand by them proudly. Over time I will bring my candles to you I will be sharing health tips for Cancer awareness. Because of my motherS battle with cancer I no longer fear cancer I fear what I don't know about cancer and the knowledge that can buy me time. Muriel Lights will donate percentage of their profits to Health Education.
